The Silktide Index evaluates the web accessibility of worldwide organisations and assigns them a score based on their level of compliance with the globally-recognised standard for web accessibility, WCAG.
The reports are compiled using Silktide's automated web accessibility testing technology.
On 23 January we relaunched this www.derbyshiredales.gov.uk website after working hard to make it more accessible, including halving the number of pages and improving the content and navigation.
The site, which attracts more than a million visits a year, has been developed in-house at minimal cost using an open source (free) content management system.
