Our teams have been distributing posters in the Bakewell area - including these in Ashford-in-the-Water - after Derbyshire County Council last week issued a bird flu alert in and around the town.
Derbyshire County Council, who are the lead authority on this issue, reported that bird flu has been confirmed in poultry at premises near Bakewell.
Trading standards working with partner agencies will be in the area advising bird keepers, and a 3km controlled zone is in place to limit the risk of the disease spreading.
