While all Serco's crews are once again operating today the sheer volume of waste currently being collected due to backlogs means some scheduled rounds are running late. Unfortunately when a truck reaches capacity rounds cannot be completed.
Along with scheduled rounds, delayed collections in and around Ashbourne have been the main focus today and that will continue into Saturday, when crews will be working overtime.
If your scheduled collection has been missed please use the online report form within two working days to let us know at www.derbyshiredales.gov.uk/missedcollection
We appreciate some residents are still awaiting catch-up collections from Tuesday 26 October - when recycling and garden waste collections had to be re-set due to delays caused by industrial action. Recycling and garden waste missed before the re-set will not be collected, but crews are taking excess recycling where a collection has been missed for two weeks or more and is properly presented and easily identifiable.
Excess recycling cannot currently be taken where collections have been happening to schedule.
Separate food waste collections remain suspended for the time being to free up crews to focus on household waste, recycling and garden waste collections.
