Coronavirus testing centre to open in Bakewell

A new mobile coronavirus testing centre here in Derbyshire Dales will be available on Monday 17th and Friday 21st May at the District Council's Agricultural Business Centre (ABC) in Bakewell. It will be open from 9am to 5pm both days.

This is in addition to the testing centre at Matlock's Imperial Rooms, which continues to be open seven days a week from 7.45am to 7pm.

One in 3 people who have the virus don’t have symptoms and could be infecting other people without realising - that's why people who are going out to work and mixing with colleagues or the public are encouraged to get tested regularly to stop the spread of Covid-19.

There’s no need to book an appointment at a community testing centre – just call in. You can check waiting times before you visit on the County Council's website

People with symptoms are asked not to visit the community testing centres. Anyone with symptoms – a new, continuous cough, a high temperature or change to taste or smell – should ring NHS 119 or book a test online
