Service disruptions - 2 March

The wintry blast continues to impact on our services, with all waste & recycling collections again suspended on Friday. Matlock Town Hall and all four of our leisure centres are open as usual.

Staffing levels are lower than normal however, which means we could be slower to respond than is usually the case, especially if you're calling our Revenues and Benefits team. Two local organisations that operate from the Town Hall - CAB and Rural Action Derbyshire - are both closed again on Friday, but hope to reopen on Monday.

Our four leisure centres in Ashbourne Bakewell, Matlock and Wirksworth are all open for business on Friday morning, but we continue to advise visitors to take extra care on the roads and footpaths and note that Derbyshire Constabulary were advising motorists not to drive in the north of the county, where several main roads were impassable overnight.

Our Saturday stall market in Ashbourne, scheduled for Saturday, has been cancelled, and the Governance & Resources Committee that was due to have taken place at 6pm at Matlock Town Hall on Thursday evening was postponed.
