Your District Council is introducing a new formal system for offering pre-application advice for people considering development of their property or land.
The service, which covers all areas of the Derbyshire Dales outside the Peak District National Park, means developers and local residents will get a better understanding of the likelihood of their proposals being granted planning permission or whether amendments are advisable.
Development Control Manager, Jon Bradbury said:
“The new pre-application advice system is designed to help residents find out if they need planning permission, discuss the acceptability of their proposal and enter into discussions before applying for formal planning permission.
“Residents will know exactly what supporting information they need right from the start. They will also be advised about any fundamental problems with their proposal and how they could be resolved to give the application a better chance of success.”
- Charges vary depending on the scale and complexity of the proposal but start at £25 for routine advice and applications can be made here.
