The Equality Act [2010] contains a section called the Public Sector Equality Duty. This means the District Council must think about how everything it does affects people from protected groups. To show we do this the District Council publishes equality information about its employees and service users every year.
Since 2019 this annual report has contained a record of pay related to gender. This data helps us check that we are paying people in a fair way, regardless of gender.
