Cosmetic piercing, tattooing and acupuncture

If you wish to carry out any form of piercing you and your premises where you will practice must be registered with the District Council. It is illegal to carry out piercing without both yourself and the premises being registered.

The current application fee for a personal registration is £93.50.

Once registered you will be able to practice at any premises in the Derbyshire Dales that are registered for the purpose.

The fee for registering a premises is also £93.50 from 1st April 2022. Cosmetic piercing cannot be carried out at a premises in Derbyshire Dales that is not also registered for the purpose.

You must be able to comply with the Council's By-Laws before your premises will be registered.
