Rusty Rackets
We are back on court with our Rusty Rackets sessions in Ashbourne and Matlock. During these times the tennis courts are unavailable for use. These sessions are perfect for anyone who is new to tennis or who wants to get back into tennis. We have a coach on hand to help you with the basics and to improve your game whilst also having a fun and social game of tennis.
Included is racket hire but you are welcome to bring your own racket too.

How to Book a Tennis Court at Hall Leys Park Matlock:
- Register on LTA website as an LTA member (this is free) and search for Hall Leys Park, Matlock.
- Book a court
When entering or exiting the courts, please ensure the gate shuts fully behind you.
Walking Tennis
Walking tennis is a slower paced of tennis where the ball can bounce more reducing the need for running and less impact on the joints. Walking Tennis session are alternate weeks on Wednesdays 1pm - 2pm at Hall Leys Park Matlock. Cost £4 per session.

Free Parks Tennis
LTA Free Park Tennis is a new programme that gives more people the chance to play tennis – offering fun, social tennis sessions at Hall Leys Park Matlock. We’re looking for a team of park tennis activators to help run fun games and exercises. Do you want to learn new skills and be part of our park tennis community? While we recruit Activators we do have Free access to the tennis courts (when booked via Clubspark) on Saturdays and Sundays 8am to 10am. 1 free booking per person per weekend.
