Fully accessible, dementia friendly, walk/stroll and talk
Walks for All April to June 2023 (pdf 0.9MB)
Walking Works! Walking is for everyone. It’s free, simple and gentle on the body. You can do it on these very short accessible, wheelchair friendly walks (though the Whitworth Park is on a slope). We are delighted to be working in Partnership with the Peak District National Park to deliver these Walks for All.
Everyone is welcome to join these very short, slow walks which will enable those living with dementia and carers supporting loved ones to enjoy conversation, being outdoors and sharing experiences. All walks start and finish at a great cafe so bring some money for a cuppa and more of a chat afterwards. Fully accessible toilets available.
We guarantee a warm welcome and a programme of walks designed specifically for you at your pace
If you need someone to support you, please don’t come on your own as unfortunately we can’t offer any additional support. Please contact us and we will try to accommodate you.
