If you have a debit card, you can pay your bill online.
This is the most convenient way to pay and is the only payment method to give you a choice of payment dates of either the first, tenth or twenty-fifth day of the month, in addition to annually, half-yearly and quarterly. If you have already signed a Direct Debit Instruction you need take no further action.

Payments can be made using most debit and credit cards (excluding Diners Club and American Express) over the telephone. Call our Telephone Payments line on 01629 761 295 (Option 1).
Please ensure that you quote your council tax reference (an '8-digit reference' beginning with a '3' - printed in top corner of your council tax bill) in making the payment.

Your Council Tax liability is printed on your bill or adjustment notice listing on the reverse the payment dates and instalments due. Instalments must reach the Council by the due dates otherwise action may commence for the recovery of the outstanding amount. This action could result in you losing the right to pay by instalments and additional costs being added to your account.
Council Tax is normally payable monthly in 10 instalments. If your bill shows the amount payable in 10 instalments but you wish to pay your Council Tax another way, please contact the Revenues Section. Payment of Council Tax in a single annual instalment must be made by 1st April. You may also apply to pay monthly in 12 instalments (your application must reach us by 10th April in order for you to get the full 12 instalments).
