We have many years of experience at working with the business community and managing partnership arrangements. If you would like to start developing a business relationship with us, you can get involved in one of the areas in which we operate.
How will you benefit?
Local authority sponsorship deals will raise your organisation's profile. By being seen to put something back into the community, your involvement with one of our events, projects or initiatives will raise awareness of your organisation. It shows that you care about your local area. It says you are prepared to give something worthwhile back to the community, whilst working towards your company's business objectives.
Guidelines
Whether sponsorship initiatives are sought by the District Council or offered voluntarily by sponsors officers must always satisfy the Departmental Director or Chief Executive as appropriate that the proposed sponsorship opportunity offers value for money to the Council and its community and does not place the Authority in a position which is likely to:
- compromise the integrity of the Council
- fetter its future decision-making powers in any way or the way in which any services are delivered to the public or to that organisation in the future; or
- be seen as detrimental to the Council's corporate image
- be viewed as product endorsement
All sponsorship initiatives will be considered on a case-by-case basis. However sponsorship will not be accepted from any organisation wishing to promote:-
- Alcohol
- Tobacco
- Unhealthy food or unhealthy lifestyles
- Weaponry
- Racism
- Messages of a sexual nature
- Political parties
Offers of sponsorship will not be accepted from any organisation that is in financial or legal dispute with the Council and the Council will show caution when accepting sponsorship where the organisation is:-
- in the process of a planning application
- in the process of a tender application
This is not to be interpreted as preventing sponsorship from the District Council's regular suppliers or contractors.
Flowerbeds
We are inviting businesses and organisations to sponsor flower beds in the parks and roundabouts we maintain here in the Derbyshire Dales. Sponsoring the beds helps the council to maintain the glorious floral displays and highlights your business both to local people and the 5 million visitors to the area. There are a range of locations in Bakewell, Ashbourne and Matlock and the cost varies on the size of the beds, floral display and the footfall. Flower bed sponsors get a sign to promote their name, logo and website and highlight a specific product or service.
The flower beds are located as follows:
Ashbourne
- A52 roundabout Derby Road
- A52 roundabout Mayfield Road
- 52 roundabout Clifton Road
Matlock
- A615 flower beds
- A6 roundabout
- Hall Leys Park Sunken Garden flower beds
- Hall Leys Park flag pole flower beds
Bakewell
- Bath Gardens flower beds
