The company undertake the staining and coating of veneered wood panels with solvent based pigments and lacquers applied manually by airless spray guns in one of two spray booths. Drying is accelerated by the temporary storage of coated panels in a tunnel which is circulated with lightly heated air, which is then vented to atmosphere. In addition a UV roller coating line is in operation, which applies a sealer coat to veneered wood panels.
The company also undertake the machining of solid and veneered wood panels including the use of saws, sanders and routers which are subject to local exhaust ventilation by a dust extraction unit. The large dust extractor that serves the sanding unit discharges by gravity into a covered trailer. Wood waste is burnt in either a Talbott T500 150kW heater or a Wood Waste Technology WT15 145 kW/hr heater.
