Please note we currently have an issue with balances showing on our automated payment line - these are not up to date and should be ignored. You can of course pay any amount in the usual way. We are working with our software provider to rectify the problem and are sorry for inconvenience this may cause in the meantime.
You can pay a Council Tax Bill, a Business Rates Bill (Non-Domestic Rates), a Sundry Debtor Invoice, a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) and make other payments online using a debit card or a credit card*.
Payment type options
The following options are available on the on-line payments page:
You will need to enter the account reference number from your Council Tax bill in the 'Reference Number' box on the payments page (this is an eight digit number beginning with '3').
Business Rates (Non-Domestic Rates)
You will need the account reference number from your Business Rates bill in the 'Reference Number' box on the payments page (this is an eight digit number beginning with '7').
You will need the invoice number from your invoice in the 'Reference Number' box on the payments page (this is an eight digit number beginning with either '8' or '4').
This option should only be chosen where you are making a payment for a service where a bill or invoice has not been issued, for example, where you are making a payment as part of an application for a licence or a car park season ticket. You will need to select which service and which specific item within that service you are paying for.
Note: When making a payment on-line, please be aware that it can take up to three working days for your payment to reach us.
Alternatively, you can make a payment by debit card or credit card over the telephone on 01629 761 295.
