From 22 to 24 October 2019 we took part in the Corporate Peer Challenge, organised by the Local Government Association. The Challenge is designed to help local authorities learn from one another as they tackle issues such as cuts in government grants, Welfare Reform and the many other challenges facing local government.
The first line of the Feedback report reads:
"There is a real sense of ambition and commitment to continuous improvement at Derbyshire Dales District Council."Four 'peers' spent three days talking with staff - both individually and in groups - across the authority and at all levels. The Local Government Association organise and undertake the Corporate Peer Challenge for free and there is no cost to us for this exercise.

We are currently (March 2020) formulating an Action Plan in response to the recommendations.
