The purpose of this Child Swimming Admission Policy is to help safeguard children using our swimming pools. These are for public sessions only.
- A responsible person* must accompany all children aged 0-7 years, or any non-swimmers, into the water. This person will maintain a constant watch over the children for whom they are responsible and maintain close contact with children who are weak or non-swimmers.
- A responsible person* must accompany children under 4 years into the water on a one-to-one basis (1 adult to 1 child). Two children under 4 years (whether swimmers or non-swimmers) can be accompanied by one responsible person* if both children are wearing arm bands or other approved buoyancy aids (this does not include inflatable rings or baby inflatable chairs).
- A responsible person* must accompany children aged 4-7 years into the water on a maximum of a one-to-two basis (1 adult to 2 children).
