VIDEO | Derbyshire Dales Proclamation

VIDEO | The Derbyshire Dales Proclamation of the Accession of King Charles III was declared at 3pm on Sunday 11 September as local people filled Matlock's Park Head.

District Council Chief Executive Paul Wilson, who is also the Clerk to the Derbyshire Lord-Lieutenancy, introduced the short event and the formal Proclamation was read out by Derbyshire Dales Civic Chairman Councillor Graham Elliott.

The ceremony concluded with a rousing cry of "God Save The King!" and three cheers.
