Union flags flying at half mast

The union flag is flying at half mast at our Matlock Town Hall following the announcement of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at the age of 96.

Flags are also flying at half mast in our parks in Ashbourne, Bakewell and Matlock.

The Town Hall is illuminated in purple this evening as a mark of respect.

Books of Condolence are available until 5pm on the day after the state funeral, hosted by Ashbourne Town Council (Town Hall), Bakewell Town Council (Town Hall), Darley Dale Town Council (The Whitworth Centre), Matlock Town Council (Imperial Rooms) and Wirksworth Town Council (Town Hall) from 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday. A Book of Condolence id also available in the reception area at Derbyshire Dales District Council (Town Hall) from 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
