Covid impacting on collections - Saturday crews

Serco will have crews working tomorrow [Saturday, 8 January] to catch up with some missed collections this week caused by a combination of snow and ice in some areas, plus Covid staff absences.

The teams that are working on Saturday will be focusing on missed domestic waste collections - affected residents should please leave out containers, though Serco cannot guarantee they will get to every missed property.

As stated in our update at the start of this week, staff absences mean some delays and disruptions to waste and recycling collections are unfortunately inevitable.

Recycling crews have also experiencing large volumes this week, with trucks filling to capacity before some rounds are completed. Where this is happening crews are aiming to return on the next working day.

Please continue to report missed collections online at www.derbyshiredales.gov.uk/missedbin

In the current Covid situation, missed food collections will generally happen on residents' next scheduled collection day.

Unfortunately Covid staff absences mean some delays and disruptions to waste and recycling collections are inevitable in the coming days.
