If adopted, the policies in the Brailsford Neighbourhood Plan will be used to help determine planning applications in the parish.
Drawn up by Brailsford Parish Council, with the help of the Neighbourhood Plan Group and the local community, the draft plan has been formally submitted to Derbyshire Dales District Council and is subject to a period of six weeks of publicity.
Local people can have their say on the document in an online consultation - and all representations received will be considered by an Independent Examiner who will report on the plan prior to a local referendum on the final document.
The draft Neighbourhood Plan, and supporting documents can also be viewed at Brailsford Post Office (opening hours are Monday –Friday 7am – 6pm; Saturday 7am-5pm and Sunday 8am-12pm). The consultation will run from 9th November to 21st December 2020.
Once 'made' by the District Council, the Neighbourhood Plan becomes a legal planning policy document that must be used in the assessment of planning applications and by developers preparing an application for submission to the planning authority.
