Bakewell Farmers’ Market returns

Our monthly Bakewell Farmers' Market returns this Saturday (25 July) after being paused from the start of the coronavirus lockdown.

A reduced number of stalls - around 40 - will be available at the council's Agricultural Business Centre (ABC) from 9am to 2pm, with strict Covid-secure measures in place.

A one-way system will be in operation, social distancing will be promoted through clear signage, face coverings will be mandatory inside the ABC and hand sanitiser will be available throughout the market.

A District Council spokesperson said: "We successfully relaunched our stall market in Bakewell last month and we're using similar safety measures at the ABC, where we’ve carried out a thorough risk assessment for stall to trade both inside and outside the building.

"While the Government is gradually easing the lockdown, we remain conscious that the coronavirus hasn't gone away and the protection and safety of customers, stall holders and staff has to be our priority as we welcome back the popular farmers' market."
