Outdoor classes bounce back

Our outdoor fitness classes bounce back in Ashbourne this week on 8 July.

Paused during the coronavirus lockdown, the classes run by the Council's sports development team will restart this Wednesday morning in accordance with Covid-secure guidelines.

Each class on the Recreation Ground next to the cricket pavilion will be restricted to six participants, with strict two-metre social distancing observed.

There's a 45-minute cardio, tone and strengthen class at 9.30am, followed by a buggy tone and tighten class at 10.30.

Janet Chadfield (pictured) from the sports development team, said:
"We've been doing virtual video workouts throughout the lockdown but it will be great to welcome back our regulars in person.
"Both classes are designed with a mix of exercises to improve cardiovascular fitness along with toning and strengthening exercises for all the body’s main muscle groups.
"Each class will have a different instructor and it's essential that people book in advance by email to sportsdevelopment@derbyshiredales.gov.uk"
