Coronavirus top-up discretionary grants

The Government has announced ‘top-up’ discretionary grant funding targeting small businesses with fixed property-related costs that have fallen between gaps in the existing COVID-19 Business Support Grant schemes.

The maximum funding available to the Derbyshire Dales will be £1.8m and support will be available to eligible businesses who have not received cash grants from other Government COVID-related schemes.

To award discretionary grants, the District Council needs to develop the funding criteria (within the parameters set by Government) and put in place a new online application process. This will take time to prepare. We therefore anticipate launching the process during the first week in June.

Each application will require verification and assessment prior to any decision to award grant. Applications will be acknowledged on receipt and, subject to a check for completeness, our aim is to process applications within 20 working days. Only applications submitted via the online web form will be considered - thanks for your understanding.
