Bank Holiday arrangements

Our phone lines will be closed from 5pm on Friday 22 May until 9am on Tuesday 26 May. Listed below you can find a bin collection timetable and how to report stray dogs and a homeless emergency issue. Leisure centres and markets in the Derbyshire Dales remain closed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and Matlock Town Hall remains closed to visitors.

Homeless emergency

If you are homeless owing to an emergency situation, outside of office hours or at the weekend, please call Derbyshire County Council for advice and assistance - telephone 08456 058 058 or 01629 532600. More about homelessness.

Waste & Recycling

There is no collection on bank holiday Monday, so all collections are one day later than usual w/c 25 May, including a Saturday collection on 30 May (for usual Friday rounds) Details of which containers to put out and can be found using our 'when is my collection?' search facility.

Report a missed bin here or order a replacement container online.

Garden waste collections 

Garden waste collections could restart here in the Derbyshire Dales from 1 June if councillors approve recommendations being put to our new Emergency Committee this Thursday 21 May.
