Daily business support update

At close of business on Sunday 16 August we had applied £31.195-million in Government coronavirus business grant payments to 2,713 accounts.

These Government grants of £10,000 or £25,000 do not need to be paid back. Check if you’re entitled to a government grant here.

Our team continue to focus on processing payments and we are not currently acknowledging individual applications. If you are concerned about the progress of your application please email revenues@derbyshiredales.gov.uk (don't phone please) and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

We remain acutely conscious many Derbyshire Dales businesses are waiting anxiously for grant payments to hit their bank accounts and we are currently processing as a top priority nearly 3,000 payments.

Letters went out at the start of April inviting eligible businesses to reply by email with their details to enable the Council to pay the grants they are entitled to of between £10,000 and £25,000.

  • We've also announced how we plan to deal with 'top-up’ discretionary grant funding announced by the Government targeting small businesses with fixed property-related costs that have fallen between gaps in the existing COVID-19 Business Support Grant schemes. More on this here.
