WATCH March Governance & Resources Committee

Items up for debate at our Governance & Resources Committee meeting on Thursday 12 March included a request from Brailsford allotment holders for the council to compulsorily purchase land in the village.

The Allotment Holders' Association, who say the land in question has been used as allotments since 1837, have been served with a notice to quit by the landowner.

A report to the meeting states it is understood that the land owner is prepared to negotiate with the Association and that an alternative parcel of land has been offered, to be developed as allotments.

The meeting will be streamed live on our YouTube channel (below) from 6pm and available afterwards as an archive video.

Other items at the meeting include a revised Complaints Procedure and key recommendations of the Examiner's report into the Kirk Ireton Neighbourhood Plan.
