Former toilet block to be auctioned

A former toilet block owned by your District Council is to go under the hammer at auction on Friday 24 May.

A guide price of £35,000 is being advertised for the former loos at the top of Station Road in Darley Dale.

The stone-built structure could suit several alternative uses, and pre-planning consultation advice states the property could be used within classes A1 – A5 of the Use Classes Order, which includes shops and retail outlets, professional services, food and drink, a drinking establishments or hot food and takeaway.

The property details state it could also be used as an office or leisure or dwelling house - all subject to obtaining the necessary planning consents. An extension to the property on land to the rear may also be supported subject to planning.
