The monthly full meeting of the District Council was broadcast live on 12 April and can be viewed again on our YouTube channel.
The meeting started with a presentation to councillors on how the council's housing and benefits teams had geared up for the introduction of Universal Credit.
Councillors considered too the appointed Examiner’s report on the Doveridge Neighbourhood Plan, together with the recommended adoption of the final draft of the District Council’s Taxi and Private Hire Licensing Policy, which is set to be implemented from 1 May this year.
The meeting also considered a report seeking approval of a proposed response by the District Council to the Peak District National Park Authority’s second and final consultation on its proposed Management Plan.
Another agenda item up for discussion was a report seeking approval for funding of £150,000 from the Committed Expenditure Reserve to procure legal, procurement and waste management consultancy support for the renewal of the District Council's Waste & Recycling Management contract over the next two financial years.
Finally, councillors noted the impending retirement of Chief Executive Dorcas Bunton and discussed the future operational leadership of the District Council.
