It’s back! The inaugural Active Workplace Corporate Games event last year was such a success that it is returning in 2018.
The pulling power of this challenging event means picturesque Cromford Meadows is again the venue for the second Corporate Games on Thursday evening, 17 May.
Pitching together workmates in the Derbyshire Dales, mixed teams of between eight and ten colleagues will test their skills at five fun sports – tag rugby, netball, seated volleyball, duathlon and an obstacle relay race.
The event is free to enter for those companies that have already signed up to the District Council's Active Workplace Scheme, and it's £80 per team for everyone else.
A spokesperson for the council's Sports Development team said:
"We are building on the success of the inaugural event in September last year and now is the time for local businesses to get in touch to take part.
“The Corporate Games are a really good opportunity for workmates to get together and pitch themselves against other companies in an evening of fun competition, followed afterwards by the all-important social catch up in the clubhouse bar."
Featuring a bar and barbecue as a reward for competitors’ exertions, the Games are being organised by Derbyshire Dales District Council and hosted by Matlock Rugby Club.
