Holocaust millions remembered

At our closest meeting to Holocaust Memorial Day, councillors will tonight (25 January) light candles & pause to remember the millions murdered during the Holocaust.

27 January is the day for everyone to remember the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust, and the millions of people killed in Nazi Persecution and in subsequent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia, and Darfur. 27 January marks the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi death camp.

Thursday's full meeting of the District Council is being broadcast live from 6pm on our YouTube channel and will be available as a video archive via the same link shortly after the meeting finishes.
