The company that supplies your District Council's 56 pay and display parking machines has now converted them all to accept the new £1 coin.
It means the 12-sided coin, launched at the end of March, can now be used in all of the District Council's car parks across the Derbyshire Dales.
A spokesperson said:
"We would of course have liked the conversion to happen earlier, but there is a continuing huge demand on the company doing this conversion work across the whole of the UK.
“While we weren't the first local authority to get the work done, we are certainly not the last."
The old round pound can continue to be used in the District Council's pay machines until it ceases to become legal tender on 15 October this year.
