Wednesday 7 September marks National Fitness Day and as part of its ongoing commitment to encouraging active lifestyles, Derbyshire Dales District Council is launching a new fitness campaign, #ABetterYou.
#ABetterYou aims to deliver positive messages about the physical and emotional benefits of exercise by encouraging residents to look towards a better them.
The District Council’s four leisure centres in Ashbourne, Bakewell, Matlock and Wirksworth have already begun to celebrate the healthy successes of their members through Facebook and are going to continue with their new, positive message throughout this campaign.
Marking both National Fitness Day and the launch of #ABetterYou, all four leisure centres will be offering fantastic promotions on the day and for the week remaining. On Wednesday 7 September, all fitness classes, swimming, off peak court hire, gym inductions and use and climbing will be just £1 for non-members, gym members and leisure active members.
For Fitness Freedom members, there will be an opportunity to book two free sessions on the Boditrax scales; specialist scales which measure everything from weight to fat and muscle percentage, highlighting areas of success and areas for improvement.
The District Council is encouraging all residents to get involved and work towards #ABetterYou.
