A special meeting of the full Derbyshire Dales District Council will meet next Monday (8 August) to consider the latest version of the draft Local Plan.
The 6pm meeting at Matlock’s County Hall will debate recommendations made by the council’s Local Plan Advisory Committee on 27 July 2016 before agreeing to the contents of a pre-submission draft for another round of public consultation.
Any member of the public wishing to speak at the latest meeting must notify the council no later than 12 noon this Friday, 5 August, by calling 01629 761133 or emailing
email@example.com. The District Council's Constitution limits public participation to a maximum of one hour, with individual slots limited to three minutes - or less depending on demand.
The agenda for the meeting is available to view on our Latest Committee Papers page.
Monday’s meeting will be followed by an online consultation on the pre-submission draft from 11 August to 22 September supported by public meetings on 16 August at Ashbourne’s Elim Pentecostal Church, and on 22 August at Highfields School, Matlock. Both start at 7pm.
Once approved, a final version of the Local Plan – designed to guide local development in the Dales up to the year 2033 – will be submitted at the end of the year for Government inspection.
The latest draft of the Plan has been debated in recent weeks at three meetings of the Local Plan Advisory Committee, during which councillors considered feedback from an earlier six-week consultation that took place in April and May.
