1,270 new voters in Derbyshire Dales

Figures released by the Electoral Registration Officer reveal that 1,270 new voters registered in the Derbyshire Dales from 27 May to last week's 9 June registration deadline.

It means the total number of people registered to vote in the district at the EU Referendum on 23 June has risen to 57,058, of whom 12,778 took advantage of the postal vote option, which closed on 8 June.

New applications to vote by proxy at the referendum must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm this Wednesday 15 June 2016 by post to Derbyshire Dales District Council, Town Hall, Matlock DE4 3NN, or email to electoral@derbyshiredales.gov.uk, or phone 01629 761335.
