Easter holiday times & bin collections

Our phone lines will be closed from 5pm on Thursday 1 April until 9am on Tuesday 6 April. Listed below you can find a bin collection timetable and how to report stray dogs and a homeless emergency issue.  Matlock Town Hall remains closed to visitors.

Homeless emergency

If you are homeless owing to an emergency situation, outside of office hours or at the weekend, please call Derbyshire County Council for advice and assistance - telephone 08456 058 058 or 01629 532600. More about homelessness.

Waste & Recycling

Collections on Good Friday (2 April) will take place as normal.  Collections during the week commencing Monday 5 April will all be one day late with Friday collections taking place on Saturday (10 April).  Details of which containers to put out and can be found using our 'when is my collection?' search facility.

Our new garden waste collections scheme starts on 6 April – collections are limited to subscribing households only. Subscribe to the new scheme here

Markets

Bakewell Market will take place on Monday 5 April with a reduced number of essential stalls, NB there will be no fruit and veg stall.
