More businesses than ever are joining a campaign that puts the Peak District at the heart of what they produce.
The 100th local business has signed up to an 'Inspired by the Peak District' campaign, set up last year by Business Peak District, which is supported by your District Council.
Designed to give local businesses a powerful marketing edge, the campaign has seen many business use the 'Inspired by the Peak District' logo on their websites and products, helping to build a strong, recognisable brand and boost sales through association with an area renowned for high quality all over the world.
Businesses from a range of sectors are carrying the brand, from online retail businesses like Marigolds and Marmalades in the Staffordshire Moorlands to manufacturing and creative industries such as Oak Chopping Boards at Edale in the High Peak.
Peak Engineers Ltd, an independent structural and civil engineering design consultancy based in the Derbyshire Dales at Bakewell, has just become the 100th signup. Managing director Chris Simm said:
"I first became aware of the 'Inspired by the Peak District' logo when I saw it on bottles from Thornbridge Brewery and over the next couple of months I realised other Peak District businesses were carrying the brand too.
"For me, it's about that sense of place; my business is based in Bakewell but with clients across the Peak District and beyond, I felt I wanted to emphasise my firm's association with this world-class location. I am delighted to be the 100th business to get involved and intend to use 'Inspired by the Peak District' to help promote my business and the area with it."
Jim Harrison, Chair of Business Peak District said:
"It's great to get our 100th business signed up to be Inspired by the Peak District; the Peak District has a vibrant business community, with a tremendous range of variety, from traditional manufacturing to cutting edge high tech industries, all of whom agree that this is a fantastic place to live and work. We are looking forward to seeing more businesses across different sectors get on board with the brand and help us inspire more people to share in our passion for the area."
