The aim tomorrow will be to start regular Friday collections and catch up with Thursday properties missed because of the snow.
Our waste and recycling teams will look at weather conditions first thing tomorrow to determine which of the above to prioritise - they will obviously go for the most accessible areas first.
For information, all of Thursday's green waste collections were completed ahead of the late morning heavy snowfalls, at which stage we had to suspend Thursday's domestic (black sacks/grey bins) rounds in the Matlock area and the blue bin/bags recycling collections in and around Ashbourne. We managed around half of the usual collections.
So if we didn't make it to you today, please leave out bins and bags - and the same goes for regular Friday rounds.
It's very likely that the backlog will cause delays and that our crews will once again have to work on Saturday this week, so please don't report a missed collection until Monday morning.
