Halloween Xplorer spooktacular!

We're staging a Halloween Xplorer special "navigational challenge" event on Tuesday 28 October.

Building on the success of Xplorer events throughout the district during the summer, the Halloween special in Darley Dale's Whitworth Park will include prizes for the best dressed and scariest dressed youngsters.

XplorerGlow sticks and bands will be given out at the free event - but families are advised to bring a torch to explore the park to find 12 scary hidden Halloween plaques, including ghosts, witches and bats!

Participants should meet outside the Whitworth Centre's terrace café between 5-6.30pm.

The District Council's Community Committee Chairman Councillor Jennifer Bower said:

"XPlorer is an exciting outdoor challenge for the whole family to enjoy - a healthy mix of physical activity and decision making.

"Xplorer events continue to prove very popular here in the Dales – and the Halloween special sounds like a real fun night out for all the family. No experience or equipment is needed, other than, on this occasion, a sturdy torch."
