We're stepping out to stage a charity dance show in our Matlock Hall Leys Park on Bank Holiday Monday (25 August) to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
During the summer holidays, dance teacher Kimberly Robinson has been teaching classes across all four of the District Council's leisure centres in Ashbourne, Bakewell, Matlock and Wirksworth. She has also worked at Hurst Farm in Matlock and with a street dance group in Youlgrave.
Each of the different groups - also including an adult dance class that started recently at Wirksworth Leisure Centre - will be joining together to dance in the show at 12 noon at the District Council's Hall Leys Park bandstand.
Becky Bryan of the District Council's sports development team said:
"We'd love to see as many people as possible in the park supporting the show, which will be followed at 1.30pm by one of our popular family Xplorer events. Proceeds from refreshments will go to the British Heart Foundation."
