Derbyshire Dales District Council has produced a draft Homelessness Strategy for the period 2017 – 2022 following a review of detailed research and consultation about homelessness in the District.
The draft strategy here is made available for consultation until 28 February 2017. We would welcome any views you may have regarding the strategy, so they may be considered in finalising it.

The strategy has been developed by Derbyshire Dales Council and its partners, all of whom are committed and actively working to prevent and reduce homelessness in the District. The strategy sets how identified objectives will be achieved covering the following 3 themes: -
- Prevention – The prevention of homelessness
- Supply – Ensuring there is sufficient accommodation available for people who are, who may become homeless
- Support – Ensuring there is satisfactory support for people who are, or who may become homeless, or who need support to prevent them from becoming homeless

What happens next?
Comments received through the consultation process will be considered by the Council before the strategy is finalised and presented for adoption. Once the final changes are agreed, details of the changes and the consultation responses will be published on the Council’s website.
Respondents and key stakeholders will be sent details of the outcome of the consultation and a link to the strategy once approved.
