Parks and open space community survey

Derbyshire Dales District Council is currently undertaking an Open Space assessment and we need your help.

As part of the Local Plan process, consultants Knight, Kavanagh and Page (KKP) are undertaking the assessment on behalf of the District Council in order to provide a better understanding of what the current and future supply and demand of open spaces are within the Dales area.

The study is looking at all open space which is accessible to the public such as parks, play areas, natural green space, amenity green space, allotments, cemeteries, green corridors and civic space.

For each of these areas, the assessment aims to identify the amount of space which is currently available and its level of quality. The results of the assessment will serve as the evidence base which will inform the District Council's future priorities and plans for open space across the District until 2033.
