Settlement Framework Boundary Review

Consultation on the draft settlement framework boundaries was undertaken from 14th June 2012 to 30th August 2012.

The Draft Settlement Framework Boundaries were drawn in order to encompass the integral area of each market town, larger settlement and village including, where appropriate, schools, existing employment areas and the defined curtilages of existing buildings within the settlement

Defining the boundaries

The leaflets below indicates the proposed Settlement Framework Boundary for each of the 22 largest settlements across the Derbyshire Dales Local Plan area.

Public exhibitions and public meetings were arranged to enable residents to discuss the boundaries with planning officers from the District Council:
