A polling district is the smallest geographical sub-division for electoral purposes. Many correspond to parishes or parish meeting areas and the majority have a polling station within their boundary. Where that is not practicable the polling district will be allocated to a polling station nearby.
A summary of the current arrangements is available here.
The first consultation stage of the Review runs from 1 August to 2 September and we would like to hear the views of individuals, authorities and organisations within Derbyshire Dales on the suitability of the current arrangements and any possible alternative venues that would offer an improvement on the current facilities. We are particularly interested to hear from people with disabilities and organisations that represent them.
The Notice or Review, Terms of Reference and timetable are provided for information.
If you would like to participate in the consultation you can access an online response form at https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/5XX2MF7.
Alternatively you can respond by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Please ensure that you include your name and the location of any particular polling stations to which you refer.
A paper response form can be downloaded here, or is available, on request to our helpline on 01629 761335.
