The Farming Life Centre walks
Thursday Monthly Easy walks 1.15pm – 2.30pm
Supporting the well-being of Peak District Farming Communities
A gentle monthly afternoon walk, on Thursdays. Meet at 1.15pm for 60 - 90 minutes walk, with the opportunity for coffee and cake and a good chat afterwards! Our walks are short and ‘Easy’ on good surfaces but may involve some stiles or ascents/descents over a short distance.
In the event of extreme weather conditions, please contact the Farming Life Centre to confirm the walk is going ahead.
|June 24th||Meet at Calver Craft Centre. We will do one of Pauline's favourite walks down the river to Froggatt and return. Followed by some well deserved refreshments either at the Craft Centre or the garden centre.|
|July 22nd||Meet in Tissington village near the cafe on the Green. A return visit to this lovely village. A circular walk taking in the village and the Tissington Trail. Coffee and cake at the cafe.|
|August 26th||Meet in car park at Arkwright's Mill at Cromford. We will take a gentle stroll down the canal allowing us to enjoy the abundant wildlife. Followed of course by refreshments at one of the cafes|
|Sept 16th||Meet in the main car park in Eyam (opposite museum) for a pleasant walk around the village followed by a coffee in one of the local cafes|
