Thursday Monthly Easy walks 1.15pm – 2.30pm
Supporting the well-being of Peak District Farming Communities

A gentle monthly afternoon walk, on Thursdays. Meet at 1.15pm for 60 - 90 minutes walk, with the opportunity for coffee and cake and a good chat afterwards! Our walks are short and ‘Easy’ on good surfaces but may involve some stiles or ascents/descents over a short distance.

In the event of extreme weather conditions, please contact Pauline beforehand on 07538 785666 to confirm the walk is going ahead.

Thursday 26th September 2019 - Millers Dale
Meeting in the car park at the old railway station car park in Millers Dale.
The walk takes us up part of the Monsal Trail in this beautiful part of Derbyshire.  Followed by conversation and cakes at the recently opened railway station cafe.

Thursday 31st October 2019 - Coombes Dale
Meeting in the car park near the football ground on the edge of Stoney Middleton.  It is just 1/3 mile from Calver garden centre towards Stoney Middleton from Calver crossroads.
A little known walk up Coombes Dale where the flora and fauna are very beautiful.  Followed by a choice of refreshments at the Garden Centre Cafe.

Thursday 21st November 2019 - Grindleford Station
Park down Station Road Grindleford (parking usually free).  Meet outside the Station cafe.  A lovely walk past Padley chapel and below Padley Gorge along a good path with stunning views.  Post walk refreshments at the famous Station cafe.

Thursday 12th December 2019 - Bakewell
Meeting outside the Agricultural Centre in Bakewell.  A return to the walk we did 2 years ago; a circular walk rising from the Agricultural Centre up to the Trail and return.  Followed by our pre-Christmas conversations at the Bakewell Pudding Shop cafe.
