Many independent businesses have been looking at new ways to adapt and innovate during COVID lockdown and to help, Derbyshire Dales District Council have partnered with Derbyshire County Council to help businesses take advantage of the fast growing Shopappy.com; a "one stop, local, online" platform which enables customers to see what local shops and services have to offer, and all in one place.

The Derbyshire Economic Partnership, which consists of the County Council and 8 partner district councils have taken care of your first-year membership fee (normally £240 plus VAT) to the award winning platform - ShopAppy.com – after which businesses will need to pay the second year subscription.

The initiative is aimed at the four market towns in the Derbyshire Dales; if you are not in one of 4 main towns of Ashbourne, Bakewell, Matlock or Wirksworth, you can affiliate with your nearest town or join up with other businesses in your area.

The District Council is working with businesses and Town Councils in the Derbyshire Dales to encourage sign up to the scheme with the aim of launching the ShopAppy website for the public to use in each town and village in the run-up to Christmas.

ShopAppy.com, which has already launched in 150 towns in the UK, was created four years ago to provide an alternative way for places and small businesses to compete with online retail giants, allowing customers to book events and experiences as well as browse and buy local products online.

ShopAppy.com will help digitise high street’s in the Dales and bring our area into the homes of our customers to make it easier for people to; Browse, Buy & Book locally. To register your business go to: www.shopappy.com/vendor.
