We used to meet at the end of the Tunnel in Ashbourne Leisure Centre car park and walk through the old railway tunnel to join the lovely Tissington Trail straight out into beautiful countryside, returning along the trail to Ashbourne.
Walking works… It’s free, simple and gentle on the body. Walking as part of a small group is a good way to start. It’s a fun way of getting together and making new friends, helping you to get out and about. It’s perfect for people who don’t fancy intense exercise, especially new mums and dads, or mums and dads to be. A great way to gain support and share your experiences at this special time.
All the walks are led by qualified Walk Leaders walking at your pace for 45 - 60 minutes. Older siblings are welcome in the holidays as are well behaved dogs on leads.
