Tarmac Building Products Ltd, trading as Ballidon Topblock, are regulated for the storage of bulk cement under section 3.1 of the Environmental Permitting Regulations.
The installation receives deliveries of bulk cement in tankers and the material is stored in silos fitted with dust arrestment plant. Aggregates and cement are discharged via weigh hoppers into a mixer where water is added. The concrete mix is fed by inclined conveyor to a block making machine. Finished blocks are cured in enclosed chambers and then stocked externally prior to despatch.
