Lots galore for Civic Chairman’s charity auction

The Civic Chairman of the Derbyshire Dales, Councillor Steve Flitter is holding a charity auction in aid of the local Air Ambulance Service at Matlock Town Hall on Monday 9 October.

There are more than 50 Lots ranging from books, games, football match tickets, local meals out, paragliding and champagne to sailing, a Chatsworth membership, a car MOT, jewellery, a round of golf and family tickets to local attractions.

Anyone can attend the 4pm auction in the Town Hall Council Chamber by emailing committee@derbyshiredales.gov.uk.

You can view the Lots and make a sealed bid if you wish here in advance by 6 October.

Councillor Flitter was elected Chairman of the District of the Derbyshire Dales earlier this year. In addition to representing the District Council at around 100 official functions with his wife Ann (pictured with Councillor Flitter above), he is organising special fund-raising events for nominated charities and has also pledged to revive the council’s community awards scheme.
