A new automated telephone payment line being introduced early next month by your District Council means residents will be able to make phone payments by credit or debit card 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Providing the same facility as the District Council's online payments options, the new service - available from April on 01629 761295 - is designed for customers who prefer to use the phone to pay Council Tax, business rates, goods and services or overpayment of benefits.
A District Council spokesperson said:
"Making our payment options more efficient means payments by cheque and at 'All Pay' points will be phased out during 2017. Both these options will end on 31 December 2017. Customers are encouraged to set up direct debit or standing order payments."
