Derbyshire Dales businesses with fewer than 250 employees can now claim back up to 50% of the cost of connecting to faster more reliable broadband.
It's thanks to the District Council's membership of Sheffield City Region, which is rolling out a voucher initiative supported by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Actual connection to faster broadband can cost between £1,000 and £5,000, and eligible Dales businesses can apply to the SFSY (Superfast South Yorkshire) Connection Voucher Scheme to claim back up to half of that cost.
Leader of Derbyshire Dales District Council, Councillor Lewis Rose OBE said:
"In this high-paced 21st century Britain our growing businesses need speed and reliability to compete. The Derbyshire Dales has a large number of small businesses and we very much welcome this broadband incentive, which results from our membership of Sheffield City Region and is part of the European Structural and Investment Fund (ESIF) growth programme 2015 to 2020."
